Information of the FAM Management Board on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

As of March, 2020

Dear Partners and Customers,

The developments around the SARS-CoV-2 virus have created a lot of uncertainty world-wide. Germany is of course no different. Many companies have already started feeling the effects of the virus.

Like you and everyone else, we are leaving no stones unturned to adapt to the rapidly evolving situations. The health and safety of our partners and employees are of utmost priority to us. We are responding in accordance with the recommendations and guidelines of the local authorities, wherever in the world we are currently operating.

FAM, at a very early stage, has taken measures to protect our employees and on-site business partners. We have enforced several measures to ensure that the daily routine within our company is not disrupted. These measures include:

  • Contingency plans for critical processes
  • Preventive hygiene measures
  • General rules to minimize physical contact at workplace
  • Home office (We are just an e-mail or a phone call away from you)
  • Operation in shifts
  • General Travel Ban
  • Discontinued in-person meetings with guests and foreign delegations

Although, working from home is reasonably efficient, but unfortunately, the possibility for home office applies only to a small portion of our colleagues in the Engineering department and is almost non-existent for our production facilities. Both, the FAM workshop and its entire supply chain is already struggling with the effects of the Corona pandemic.
The measures to contain the Corona Virus naturally also affect the productivity of the FAM Group in general. We are trying our best to adapt to the challenges and requirements in an extremely dynamic way, so that the negative effects on our projects are minimal.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and react carefully and accordingly.

We wish you, your employees and your families the very best and hope that we soon get out of these difficult times into a healthy future.

Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Best Regards
